Pier 1 Imports - Late Spring 2006 Collection
Pier 1 Imports recently launched four new looks for spring which they feature in their ‘Late Spring’ 2006 catelog. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am already about one season behind. According to Pier 1 Imports, I am now two seasons behind as apparently there is such thing as early spring and late spring decor!
For you late spring shoppers, here are the new looks from Pier 1 and my top catelog picks.
urban groove - This cosmopolitan collection is ‘part mod, part modern and totally groovy’. Circle shapes on everything from picture frames to wall decor. Chairs, rugs, and dinnerware in shades of green, red and turquoise blue.
Orbit Chairs - Hand woven rattan paired with sleek metal. These stackable contemporary chairs come in light blue and green. $89 US ($129 CAD).
Black Wire Baskets - Hand woven ultra modern baskets made entirely of powder-coated wire. Two shapes, tall round and short round. Both $26 US ($60 CAD) each.
al fresco - In response to the outside living trend, Pier 1 introduces a collection of stylish outdoor furniture and accessories. All weather wicker is paired with black iron accent tables and lanterns. Cushion and candle accessories in blue and green.
Storage stools with cushions - Versatile 3-in-1 wooden stools. All weather units that can function as a stool, storage container or end table. $79 US ($119 CAD) each.
Wave Umbrella Centerpiece - Designed to wrap around the pole of any standard size outdoor umbrella. A great outdoor centerpiece that maximizes your table space. $30 US ($50 CAD).
wabi-sabi - Asian inpsired, a look that is ‘Simple, earthy, unstudied and imperfect’. Dark wood furniture with clean lines, chinese dinnerware with hibiscus flower pattern, table linens in sky blue.
Hibiscus Square Dinnerware - Starting at $5 US ($8 CAD) each.
Lotus bowls -Stoneware nesting bowls in black or grey. $2-3 US ($3-4 CAD) each.
nantucket - ‘Elegant but comfortable’ look with earth-and-sky tones and white wicker and wood furniture. Large floral prints on cushions, window coverings and pillows. White cubic dinnerware and chunky crackle glassware.
East End Window Panels - Stripe and spring flower pattern in ivory or blue. $45 US ($75 CAD) each.
