Decorating ideas from my house
In my home, almost every decor item and piece of furniture has been painstakingly selected. Due to an over analytical personality, purchases get researched to death and then I shop till I drop, in search of the best deal. So when it came time to tell you which items I liked the most, I wanted to protectively say ‘them all’! However, I managed to narrow the list down and select four of my most favourite things.
The black leather ottoman. A fantastic looking storage solution for our master bedroom that holds lots of extra blankets and pillows. Best feature: You can sit down in the morning and put your socks on! Purchased from Urban Barn for approx $500 CAD.
Kitchen stools from Pottery Barn. I probably spent more time shopping for this item than any other piece of furniture in our house. Apparently stools can very in price from cheap ($50) to very expensive ($500). These black, counter height stools had everything I was looking for and at the best possible price (of course!).
Collection of decorative balls. A few years ago I went through a phase of collecting different textured balls - wicker, wood, grass etc. These balls have survived many decor changes and room placements and I still like them!
Bud vases from Pottery Barn. I love these vases because they are so versatile. You can use them individually or in a collection with a simple flower or stem. The glass is super thick so you don’t need to worry about them chipping or falling over.
