A Unique Home on the Water

This couple enjoys life in their unique home. Their Artisan home is located on a river, in a quaint farming community. It's a smaller space (1,200 square feet), with the majority of the living area on the main floor and a smaller bedroom loft upstairs.

A New Home Construction Story

See what it takes to start a house from scratch. This couple looked at existing homes in their desired neighborhood but could not find exactly what they were looking for, so they purchased a home in a new development.

California Craftsman

Take a tour of this young family's stylish first house. The home's interior design is a mix of styles. Anne combined traditional, country and modern elements to create a comfortable and stylish home environment.

Shaughnessy Showhome

Another great photo tour of a show home gives you a taste of what's hot in home decorating and renovating. Dark chocolate, baby blue, granite and stainless steel continue to be popular. We love the nursery and the classy living room in this house.

Showhome Style

Showhome with West Coast architecture, 4 bedrooms, 16ft stone fireplace and modern kitchen with a built-in expresso maker. The master bathroom is done in Chocolate brown with glass shower, a square bathtub and 12"X24" floor tiles.

Creative Abode

This house is full of creative design ideas from the enclosed family room hot tub to the chalkboard wall in the little girl's bedroom. Other ideas to note are the drop leaf island, the built in glass shelves, and the gorgeous glass sinks.

Island Life

Not only is this house situated on a beautiful water front lot, but the home itself is full of surprises. The Japanese inspired entrance leads to a log cabin family room which then leads to a modern kitchen. Collections of snowshoes, native art and Japanese items add interest and charm.

Suburban Style

This colorful home has a beautiful stone exterior and professional landscaping. In the interior the main colors throughout the home are whites, oranges and blues. The kitchen follows the latest white trend that is poping up everywhere. Other ideas to note are the numerous built-ins and storage solutions.

Suburban Splendour

This craftsman house has a beautiful traditional decor. There are ideas for nurseries, boys rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, hallway decor, landscaping and more. Our favorite room is the family room with it's butler tray coffee table and plasma screen above the fireplace.

This house is decadent from top to bottom. Get inspired by the professionally designed rooms which have been decorated with all the latest trends. The kitchen and bathrooms are full of ideas for materials, colors, hardware etc.

Delta Dream

DIY Ikea Kitchen Renovation

This do-it-yourself couple renovates their kitchen. This suburban homeowner was tired of his existing all white kitchen and wanted a more warm and inviting space. He purchased all the cabinetry from Ikea and did almost all the work himself.

Urban Condo Renovation

This young urban couple spent a year planning for their ultimate kitchen and main living area renovation. They transformed a worn and drab downtown Vancouver apartment into a modern and functional space that they love.

Main Bath & Ensuite Remodel

Read about this stunning, contemporary renovation. The two bathrooms were back to back so the entire space was gutted and the wall from the old main bath was moved to create a larger ensuite bathroom.

Refinishing the Stairs

See how this couple refinished the stairs in their farmhouse. To brighten up the space they chose to paint the risers white and to stain the treads a dark brown to match the banister. The process was challenging but the end product was well worth it.

Installing floating floors

See how this couple installed a floating engineered hardwood floor in their basement. They wanted a mid-priced flooring product that would be suitable for a high-wear environment, easy to install, low maintenance and would last at least 10 years.

Built In Seating

This turret room is used for reading and as a guest room. With a futon on the floor and no real seating it wasn't ideal. So this homeowner designed and built some seating which can be used as 2 single beds for guests.

Family Room Redo

With so many 70's split level ranchers out there we thought you could use some inspiration on how to bring these homes up to date. The top level of this rancher was completly renovated and turned into a great room. We love how they removed the carpets and painted the fireplace in the family room.

Home Office Redesign

In need of some inspiration, this member decided to reorganize and redesign their home office. Now with the lighter color scheme, ergonomic design, and lots of storage, this room is the perfect place to do business. All the furniture came from Ikea, the paint from Benjamin Moore and the labour was a DIY effort.

Play structure for kids

There are some lucky kids living at this house! This weekend project started from nothing and ended with a fabulous play area including a sand box, swings, slide and playhouse. They constructed it themselves and bought items such as the slide and swing set accessories from Home Depot.

Ugly/pretty kitchen

We wanted to feature this renovation because it is one of the most dramatic changes in the Central Roost project gallery. They took an extremely outdated kitchen and transformed it into a stylish space.

Main Floor Reno

This stunning renovation shows how you can take the interior of a standard bungalow house and turn it into a sophisticated and elegant space. The changes included ripping up the carpet, new mantel, new pot lights, painting, and more.

Home Gym

Putting in a home gym was at the top of this couple's wish list. They installed rubber flooring, a full mirrored wall and a TV/Stereo system in a 10ft x 12ft space in their basement. Not only does it look great, but they actually use it every day!

Basement Wine Cellar

A corner of this basement was turned into a small but very stylish wine cellar. The space is only 4' x 7' (28 sqft or 2.6 m2) but can hold up to 250 bottles of wine. The wine racks were ordered over the internet and the rounded brick entrance was built by a professional brick layer.
