Shaughnessy Showhome

Another great photo tour of a show home gives you a taste of what's hot in home decorating and renovating. Dark chocolate, baby blue, granite and stainless steel continue to be popular. We love the nursery and the classy living room in this house.

Showhome Style

Showhome with contemporary West Coast architecture, 4 bedrooms, 16ft stone fireplace and modern kitchen with digital entertainment system and built-in expresso maker. The master bathroom is done in Chocolate brown with glass shower, a square bathtub and 12"X24" floor tiles.

Creative Abode

This house is full of creative design ideas from the enclosed hot tub in the family room to the chalkboard wall in the little girl's bedroom. Other ideas to note are the drop leaf island in the kitchen, the built in glass shelves, the toddler's "up up and away" bedroom, and the gorgeous glass sinks.

Island Life

Not only is this house situated on a beautiful water front lot, but the home itself is full of surprises. The Japanese inspired entrance leads to a log cabin family room which then leads to a modern kitchen. Collections of snowshoes, native art and Japanese items add interest and charm.

Suburban Style

This colorful home has a beautiful stone exterior and professional landscaping. In the interior the main colors throughout the home are whites, oranges and blues. The kitchen follows the latest white trend that is poping up everywhere. Other ideas to note are the numerous built-ins and storage solutions.

Suburban Splendour

This craftsman house has a beautiful traditional decor. There are ideas for nurseries, boys rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, hallway decor, table settings, landscaping and more. Our favorite room is the family room with it's butler tray coffee table and plasma screen above the fireplace (pictured above).

Ultimate Beach House

This house is decadent from top to bottom. Get inspired by the professionally designed rooms which have been decorated with all the latest trends. The kitchen and bathrooms are full of ideas for materials, colors, hardware etc. We highly recommend you spend some time browsing through these photos!

Delta Dream

This beautifully designed 2618 square foot (243 m2) show home is full of great ideas for everyone. The kitchen is gorgeous with white shaker cupboards, a black granite countertop, stainless steel appliances and a stone tiled backsplash.

Waterfront Dream

When this diva dreams, she dreams BIG. This 6000 square foot (557 m2) show home with a waterfront lot and a professionally designed interior is extravagant in every way. The house is a great source of inspiration for all your home improvement and design projects.

Built In Seating

This turret room is used for reading and as a guest room. With a futon on the floor and no real seating it wasn't ideal. So this homeowner designed and built some seating which can be used as 2 single beds for guests. Storage underneath holds bedding and other items.

Family Room Redo

With so many 70's split level ranchers out there we thought you could use some inspiration on how to bring these homes up to date. The top level of this rancher was completly renovated and turned into a great room. We love how they removed the carpets and painted the fireplace in the family room.

Home Office Redesign

In need of some inspiration, this member decided to reorganize and redesign their home office. Now with the lighter color scheme, ergonomic design, and lots of storage, this room is the perfect place to do business. All the furniture came from Ikea, the paint from Benjamin Moore and the labour was a DIY effort.

Play structure for kids

There are some lucky kids living at this house! This weekend project started from nothing and ended with a fabulous play area including a sand box, swings, slide and playhouse. They constructed it themselves and bought items such as the slide and swing set accessories from Home Depot.

Ugly/pretty kitchen

We wanted to feature this renovation because it is one of the most dramatic changes in the Central Roost project gallery. They took an extremely outdated kitchen and transformed it into a stylish space. There is no doubt that this Rooster has added a lot to the value to their home, way to go bookyeti!

Main Floor Reno

This stunning renovation shows how you can take the interior of a standard bungalow house and turn it into a sophisticated and elegant space. The changes included ripping up the carpet, putting in a new mantel, installing pot lights, painting, new baseboards, new doors and much more.

Home Gym

Putting in a home gym was at the top of this couple's wish list. They installed rubber flooring, a full mirrored wall and a TV/Stereo system in a 10ft x 12ft space in their basement. Not only does it look great, but they actually use it every day!

Basement Wine Cellar

A corner of this basement was turned into a small but very stylish wine cellar. The space is only 4' x 7' (28 sqft or 2.6 m2) but can hold up to 250 bottles of wine. The wine racks were ordered over the internet and the rounded brick entrance was built by a professional brick layer.
